Black Trail Runners visit Ramsay’s Round

In June of 2021, a team of 6 members of Black Trail Runners from south of the border, led by co-founder Sabrina Pace-Humphreys came to Scotland.

Sabrina was inspired by Charlie as a black role model in hill running, and their aim was to sample the Lochaber mountains, and in particular the route and mountains of Ramsay’s Round.

"Inclusivity should begin at grassroots level" said Charlie, "acceptance should not be based on ability, age, gender, background, race, sexual orientation or class."

They were guided and supported by Girls on Hills Ltd who put together a 3 day itinerary showcasing the Round, providing them with many happy memories and experiences of Scotland.

We hope they will return in the future, with the aim of a sub 24 hour target time. Haste ye back!
